Most errors occur when intake questions are hastily completed at check in or drop off. Most often information is forgotten and not entered, or entered incorrectly. Errors and additions/subtractions must be in writing (no verbal over the phone), usually through the US mail and takes longer than taking the extra time to complet the intake forms. Please take 15 minutes at home to complete all pages that apply and write down any questions you might have.
Returns which are printed and then changed after printing have a $15 reprint fee. Returns changed after e-filing usually require an amendment for Federal and State and usually take the IRS months to process.
Caution: If you have a dependent who files their own tax return be sure they state they are being claimed by someone else.
New Clients: Bring in a copy of your 2019 tax return.
Past year returns usually are delayed. Returns from 2017 or older require a paper return to be mailed.
